Abstract

Advance Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) include special features like lane changing assistance, blind spot detection, pedestrian detection, traffic sign board and signal identification, analysis of the vehicle reliabilty are dependent on the hardware and software used to build the automotive parts [1]. Nowadays the automotive industry moving towards fully automated vehicles Electronic Control Unit has been playing a very important role . Since the ECUs provides advance assistance features to the driver making driving more easy and safer. ECU being an embedded system the hardware and software will not change in the runtime environment instead respond to the real time actions. The ADAS enabled contains the components which are supposed to be distributed at many parts of the vehicle and there is a need that these components communicate efficiently to increase the reliability of the driver in the ADAS. The communication protocol Unified Diagnostic Services is mostly used in the ECU environment within the automotive electronic over the CAN channels. The condition of the electronic devices in the automotive diagnosed using particular services , UDS (Unified Diagnostic Services). In this study, the status and reading the data of ECU is implemented by using UDS.
